On Ment, the manager kicks off the discussion with a business-related question. He can invite participants to collaborate and pose tentative answers to the question. Few alternative answers chosen by the manager are then debated by the participants, either supporting or disagreeing with the proposed answers. Ment enables a user to add data sources, and relevant articles or documents from the enterprise drivers to close the view or try to quantify it differently. The scoring engine algorithm based on AI and machine learning analytics identify and score the various viewpoints in terms of credibility and support. Ment is the first smart discussion platform that implements Bayesian and Machine Learning tools to business discussions. “We base Ment’s unique epistemic scoring mechanism on philosophical and mathematical principles to identify smart patterns of agreements and disagreements amongst experts and communities,” remarks Rosenberg. Ment allows the manager to view the best answers rather than go through the whole thread to analyze and summarize the discussion saving time. Also, the process encourages every user to answer and project their agreement making Ment transparent and inclusive.
With Ment we are enabling enterprises to make more reliable, efficient, and proactive decisions fast
Finally, the AI surfaces credible options with scores and helps the manager make the decision and close the discussion. Ment can also be used for decision-making and discussions with external experts and customers to further an organization’s relationship.
The main differentiating factor of Ment is that it is based on graph knowledge that runs various algorithms to identify patterns in the dynamics of the discussions. For instance, a department supporting the same ideas along the time together is probably suffering from the psychological bias of groupthink. The managers will be alerted about this and the department’s score and weight as a group will be lowered. Ment allows the manager to search for previous discussions allowing modern knowledge analytics and much better use of prior knowledge in future decisions. Ment is hosted on various platforms such as AWS and Azure. Considering the cyber threats, the product is made compliant with information security.
Through their product, Ment.io emphasizes on meritocracy where the merit and work measure the employees. “We want people to recognize the experts who are reliable and devoid of psychological biases, and we believe AI enables this,” says Rosenberg. The company also offers a 30 day free trial for the product so that the users get to know how it works.
